4. Purpose of processing personal data
The purpose of the processing of personal data is to communicate with customers. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the legitimate interest of the controller to communicate with customers. Once the customer has entered into an agreement with Nordic Piling Solutions Oy, the legal basis is the agreement in question.
Information from representatives of companies and other organizations may be used for marketing in ways that are generally considered to be in the legitimate interest of the controller. Information from individuals may be used for marketing if the customer has given consent. In all cases, the data subject has the right to object to the use of their information for electronic direct marketing.
The information is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.
5. Data content and legal basis of the register
The information stored in the register includes: the person’s name, position, company/organization, contact information (telephone number, email address, address), website addresses, information about ordered services and their changes, billing information, other information related to the customer relationship and ordered services.
Personal data is processed for the time necessary to implement the customer relationship or the concluded agreement. For justified reasons, personal data may be stored for longer than this for archiving purposes (for example, agreements).
The IP addresses and cookies of website visitors are processed on the basis of legitimate interest, for example, to ensure data security and to collect statistical information about website visitors in cases where they can be considered personal data. The use of cookies is explained in more detail separately, for example, at the bottom of the website.
6. Regular data sources
The register is created from information received from customers. Information is obtained through the websites maintained by Nordic Piling Solutions Oy (www.nordicpilingsolutions.fi), from messages sent via web forms, by email, by telephone, through social media services, in contracts, customer meetings and other situations where the customer provides their information.
Information from representatives of companies and other organizations can also be collected from public sources such as websites. Information can also be obtained from directory services and other companies.
7. Data transfers and recipients
The data is not routinely disclosed to other parties. The data may be published to the extent agreed with the customer.
In connection with the processing of personal data, the data may also be transferred by the controller outside the EU or EEA to parties (e.g. cloud services) that have committed to complying with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation in ways that ensure adequate protection of personal data processing.
8. Principles of register protection
The register is handled with care and the information processed by the information systems is protected appropriately. When the register data is stored on Internet servers, the physical and digital security of their equipment is appropriately taken care of. Nordic Piling Solutions Oy ensures that the stored data, as well as the server maintenance codes and other information critical to the security of the service, are handled confidentially and only by those employees whose job description it falls under.
9. Right to inspect and right to request correction of information
Every person in the register has the right to check their data stored in the register and to demand correction of any incorrect data or completion of incomplete data. If a person wishes to check the data stored about them or to demand correction, the request must be sent in writing to the controller. Nordic Piling Solutions Oy may, if necessary, ask the person making the request to prove their identity. Nordic Piling Solutions Oy will respond to the customer within the time period stipulated in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (generally within one month).
10. Other rights of the data subject
A person in the register has the right to request that personal data concerning him or her be deleted from the register (“right to be forgotten”). Data subjects also have other rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, such as the right to prohibit the use of personal data for electronic direct marketing and the right to restrict the use of personal data in special situations defined in the General Data Protection Regulation. Requests must be sent in writing to the controller. Nordic Piling Solutions Oy may, if necessary, ask the person making the request to prove their identity. Nordic Piling Solutions Oy will respond to the customer within the time period specified in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (generally within one month).
